Cursive font generator
Type your text and get it in cursive script letters, in a light version with a thin, elegant look and a heavier bold version. Copy the one you like and paste it anywhere.
How cursive text works
The cursive letters here are Unicode script characters, such as "𝒜" (MATHEMATICAL SCRIPT CAPITAL A). They are text, not a font, so they keep their look when you paste them into an app that doesn't let you choose a font.
The light script style borrows 11 letters from an older Unicode block: B, E, F, H, I, L, M, R, e, g and o. In some fonts these look a little different from the rest. The bold script style has no such exceptions, so it looks more even. That is why it is listed first.
Where to use cursive text
- A name or tagline in an Instagram, TikTok or X bio.
- A Discord nickname or server title.
- A heading in a chat message or an email signature, as long as the reader's device shows the characters.
Keep long sentences, links and anything important in plain text. Cursive Unicode is harder to read, and many screen readers read it letter by letter or skip it.
The font generator shows the same text in 20 styles, including gothic letters.
Frequently asked questions
How do I type in cursive on Instagram?
Type your text in the box above, press Copy next to a cursive style, and paste it into your Instagram bio, name or caption.
Why do some cursive letters look different?
In the light script style, 11 letters come from an older Unicode block, so some fonts draw them differently. The bold script style looks more even.
Does cursive text work in Word or Google Docs?
It pastes as text, so it shows up. For a document you will print, a real script font looks better and is easier to edit.
Can I make numbers cursive?
No. Unicode has no script digits, so numbers stay plain.
Is the cursive font generator free?
Yes. It runs in your browser with no account and no limit.
