What freaky font is
Freaky font is the name memes use for bold script text, like 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂. Writing a word or a reply in this style makes it read as flirty or suggestive, usually as a joke. The style is the first line in the list above.
The letters are not a real font. Each one is a Unicode character from the MATHEMATICAL BOLD SCRIPT set, which is why the style stays when you paste it into apps that don't let you choose a font. The plain script line is the thinner version of the same style.
Things to know before you paste it
- Most phones and computers show bold script correctly, but some older devices show boxes instead.
- Screen readers may read each letter by its Unicode name or skip it.
- Search and @mentions may not match freaky text to the plain word.
- Only the letters A to Z change. Digits, accented letters and emoji stay as they are.
